Winter is almost over and here in True North I feel we have been having one of the shortest Winters followed by an even unusually shorter February!
With the Holiday Season behind us and back to serious mode at work the craving for a well deserved vacation to a sunny destination starts to kick-in around this time of the year. The thought of lying on the beach and soaking in the sun while sipping on a cocktail becomes the vision on the long commute home, which for some reason tend to feel longer with every passing day.
Once we have finally booked our sunny destination and feeling nothing but joy, suddenly the ‘what should I pack’ anxiety kicks-in! Of course the first thing that goes through our head is either that ‘I don’t know what to pack’ or that ‘I have nothing to pack!’
Knowing how at times packing to a sunny destination can become a bit of a challenging task and not knowing where to start can sometimes take away our buzz away and why I decided to create a post on what to pack for a sunny destination.
It really isn’t that hard and with a little bit of planning it can all be done in a swift!
The first thing to do is to pack according to your destination agenda, i.e.; number of days/nights, number of reserved a la carte dinners, and planned excursions/sightseeings. Once you have your agenda then you can start planning your outfits for each event starting with dresses first, then bottoms and matching tops and last accessories.
The key here is to pack less but have more options to wear. With a ‘Less is More’ mindset start packing pieces that can easily be mixed & matched with each other allowing you to build multiple outfit options based on your destination agenda. Where are you off to this Spring and what is your ‘must have’ piece that you always pack to a sunny destination?
